DIY Fall Food Swap! SE Portland, November 25th

Calling all DIYers to the Fall Food Swap at Threshold!

Do you preserve or pickle? Bake or brew? Do you extract honey from hives or create cheese from curd? Do you grow a green garden or forage forest floors?

Come show off your skills at our Fall Food Swap on Monday, November 25! Bring your wares to swap and sample with fellow DIYers.
When: Monday, November 25 from 6:30 – 8.

Where: Threshold Brewing & Blending, 403 SE 79th Ave, Portland, OR 97215

How it works:
It’s pretty easy – just show up and bring a few of your homemade items (plus some extra for sampling). People will ooo and ahh over your creations and trade you for them! And vice versa.

Don’t worry about bringing too many items or too few. It’s all good.

You’ll leave the swap with a fun selection of delicious treats and likely some great ideas for new projects of your own.

Kruger Road, Sherwood, 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Doors open at 9:45. Bring any gently worn clothing items to exchange that you or your loved ones no longer wear. Beginning at 10 a.m. everyone will be released to look through all the clothing (there will be children’s, men’s and women’s categories) and take whatever they would like. All of the leftover clothing at the end of the hour will be donated to local non-profit organizations to help clothe others in the surrounding communities as well as our own. (If you have a spare you can bring a can of food or non-perishable food item to be donated to the Willowbrook Food Bank.) This is a great way to share resources with others in our community, especially children’s clothing as children grow in and out of clothing so quickly, and it’s a great way to get some shopping in for yourself without having to spend a penny!  Paula Rummerfield or Kathie Bowdoin  Phone weekdays: 503-925-0689.
