December 2016 Free Swaps

Happy Holidays!  Here are the free swaps we know about so far in December. Several sized women’s clothing swaps, a family clothing swap (men, women, kids), a holiday gift and toy swap (men, women, teens) and more!  Find a free swap you like (or start one) and join the fun!

12/03/16  Women’s and Teens Size 0-12 Clothing Swap 6pm at the Rushing Water Yoga Studio in Downtown Camas WA.  This is a small/medium swap, so please pre-sort your clothes so they can be separated into piles, 0-5 and 6-12. Takes place the first Saturday of the month September through June (No swaps July and August).  Please RSVP to Dorothy at  clarkcountyclothingswap@gmail.com

12/04/16 Family All Size Clothing Swap (Beaverton) 7pm @ Adapt Training at 9923 SW Arctic Dr Beaverton, OR 97005. Bring your whole family!   Our swap is FREE, with no admission charge, no strings attached, and all remainders will be given away for free or to organizations that will not sell them but will give them away. 12/10/16 Holiday Gift and Toy Swap in NE Portland at the Presbyterian Church of Laurelhurst (PCL church). For what to expect see details on how to RSVP here. Second Saturday of every month women’s size medium clothing swaps, except for the Holiday Gift and Toy Swap in December and the Spring Stuff Swap in April.

 

12/16/16   Women’s Size Petite to Medium (approx 0-8)  Clothing Swap at People’s Food Co-op in SE Portland at 7pm.  Everyone who attends, please bring an extra bag for remainder donation.  Monthly on the third Friday.  If you’ve got other sizes, please take them to the correct swap for those sizes.  If they are torn/ripped, please offer them on freecycle.org. *NEW*  12/17/16 Community Potluck/Brunch at Yonder House in NE Portland, first and third Saturdays starting at 11am. Bring food to share, eat, enjoy yourself, and meet like-minded kind people!  Contact Bert Fitzgerald 574-213-5468 for more information. 12/30/16 Women’s All Size Clothing and Stuff Swap in Happy Valley, 7pm at New Seasons market on Sunnyside in the yoga studio/conference room. The last Friday of the month.  You can bring not only clothes but shoes and accessories and any other goodies that you want to pass on (such as books, jewelry, lotions, makeup, pens, arts and crafts and etc). If you know of a good organization that can use the leftover clothes or if you can take it with you please let me know. To RSVP (reserve your spot) contact Tanya at  Happyswap@hotmail.com

Time to RSVP for the 2016 Holiday Gift and Toy Swap! This has become a FAVORITE Holiday tradition!  Combine house cleaning, gift shopping, philanthropy, and free frugal fun!

The 2016 HOLIDAY GIFT & TOY SWAP is Saturday December 10th, 2pm, in the Presbyterian Church of Laurelhurst gym.

The gym is unheated so dress warmly. Since all swappers are invited (and their kind men, teens, and friends), YOU MUST READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS AND HAVE AN ENTRY ‘TICKET’ TO GET INTO THIS SWAP (see below).

All Size Mens, Women’s, Kids Clothing, and Stuff Swap, SW Portland, November 15th

NEW SWAP! Garden Home Community Library is hosting our annual Fall/Winter Swap in SW Portland/Garden Home, and we’d like to invite everyone to enjoy the fun!

Featuring all sizes of clothing for men, women, and children…plus household items, small appliances & electronics, books, jewelry, small furniture, games, holiday decor, and other small items.  (We are unable to accept large furniture or appliances.)

Location:  Garden Home Community Library, 7306 SW Oleson Rd, Portland 97223  (in the Garden Home Marketplace.  2 doors down from the Baskin-Robbins.)

Date & Time:  Tuesday, Nov. 15 from 6:30-8:15 pm

Swap is always FREE.

We give clothing remainders to a women and children’s shelter.  Leftover household items will be donated to organizations that will give them away, not sell them.

Spring Stuff Swap, NE PDX, April 9th

Join the Treasure Hunt!   Combine spring cleaning with free frugal fun at the Spring Stuff Swap! Give and get music, books, kitchen and housewares, toys and games, crafting items, collectables, tools, holiday items, working technology, music, sports equipment and more! And it’s all FREE!

Bring your in-good-condition stuff, find new-to-you items, keep usable items out of landfills, meet like-minded kind thrifty people…plus, all remainders will be given away for free in the community!   Think of the saving$, recycling, philanthropy, abundance, and good karma flowing around:)   If you’ve never been to a free stuff swap, see one in action here.

December 2015 Free Swaps

Celebrate the season by cleaning out clutter, swapping clothes, or gifts and toys, and spending time with like-minded sharing people! These are the December Free Swaps we know about so far.  Swap hostesses, thanks for letting me know if there are any additions/changes to this information.

Kind and courteous women, men, and teens are invited!  Combine spring cleaning and free frugal fun!  Your in-good-condition stuff will be loved by someone else, your home will be less cluttered, you’ll find new-to-you items you CAN use…plus, all remainders will be given away to others in the community!   Think of the saving$, recycling, philanthropy, and good karma flowing around:) If you’ve never been to a gift swap or stuff swap, see one in action here.
