What: Free Women’s All Size Clothing and Stuff Swap – bring friends! You probably have clothes, accessories, and other household stuff you’ve realized just ‘isn’t you’ anymore.  Wash it up and bring it to the swap, and get some new-to-you treasures!

When: Friday April 26th, 7 pm

Where: New Seasons Market on Sunnyside  15861 SE Happy Valley Town Center Dr,  Happy Valley, OR 97086 (in the yoga studio/conference room).

Ongoing, the last Friday of the month.

You can bring clothes, shoes and accessories…plus any other in good condition stuff that you want to pass on (such as books, jewelry, lotions, makeup, pens, arts and crafts, etc).

Spring Stuff Swap, NE Portland April 13th

Reservations are full, but you can still get on the wait list.  You will be notified if there is a cancellation.

Your home will be less cluttered, your in-good-condition stuff will be loved by someone else, you’ll find new-to-you items you CAN use!  This Swaps remainders are being gifted to the local charity Paying It Forward Store which GIVES them away, not sells them- so your generosity keeps giving! Camas Women’s All Size Clothing, Books, and Small Household Stuff Swap is this Saturday April 6th  at 6pm!

Please tell all your friends and feel free to repost this!

Doors open at 5:45pm with swap starting promptly at 6pm.

First Saturday of every month ( except July and August ) at Rushing Water Yoga Studio in Downtown Camas. Get directions here.

Swap all your old, still in good condition, clothes, shoes and accessories! And books, or any other media, small household and kitchen stuff, too. Most anything that can be passed on to the homeless shelter and be useful to someone setting up a new home.

Bring what you can, take what you like.

Leftovers are donated to Share House (sharevancouver.org) and Dress for Success (dressforsuccess.org)

March 2019 Free Swaps

Welcome! Here’s the free swaps we know about so far for March 2019.  Time to ‘Marie-Kondo’ your closets to find goodies to bring, and enjoy treasure-hunting with like-minded kind thrifty people!  Everyone who attends agrees they’ll bring clean items in usable condition, be kind to others at the swap, only take what they will personally use or give as gifts, and not sell anything they get.  Since all remainders are picked up by charities that GIVE them away, everyone who participates is a philanthropist!  Thanks for being a part of the free frugal fun!  If you don’t see a swap in your size/interest/or area of town, please start one !

03/02/19  Women’s and Teens All Size Clothing and Small Household Stuff Swap 6pm at the Rushing Water Yoga Studio in Downtown Camas WA.  This is now an All Size swap, so please pre-sort your clothes so they can be separated into piles small, medium, large, plus, and accessories. 03/10/19 All Size Mens, Women’s and Kids Clothing and Book Swap, Kenton Church, 2115 N Lombard St, Portland, OR 97217, 2pm-4pm. https://freeclothingexchange.org/ EXCHANGE DETAILS Receiving Clothing: No donation is required to receive clothing. Please take clothing for your own household only, Clothing may not be taken for resale.  Donating Clothing: Do not drop off clothes ahead of time or try to leave them at Kenton Church.  Donations will only be accepted during the hours of the exchange. Please sort and hang your own donations. Volunteers are available to help you sort and hang your donations. Place donations on racks by size. Please…no dirty or damaged donations. The best things about the Free Clothing Exchange: The Discovery. That moment when you find the thing you didn’t know you were looking for and it fits you. In JAN, more folks brought and engaged with the book area then I’ve seen in the past and, with so many new books for adults coming in, I saw as many grown ups as I did children checking out books.

03/15/19  Women’s Size Petite to Medium (approx 0-8)  Clothing Swap at People’s Food Co-op in SE Portland at 7pm.  Everyone who attends, please bring an extra bag for remainder donation.  Monthly on the third Friday.  If you’ve got other sizes, please take them to the correct swap for those sizes.  If they are torn/ripped, please offer them on freecycle.org. *NEW 03/16/19 Kids and Adults Clothing Swap, 10am-1pm,  Clatskanie High  471 Bel Air Dr, Clatskanie, OR 97016.  Gather all of your used family clothing and accessories in bags from home and bring to the swap.  If you don’t want to use a reusable bag our event will be selling bags by donation. All proceeds from donations for bags will be given to Clatskanie’s local thrift store Turning Point. Any clothing that hasn’t found a home will be given to Clatskanie highs sharing shed. A place where children and families can get the resources they need.

03/16/19 2nd Annual Wasco County Seed Exchange, 12-2pm, Wasco County Master Gardeners, 400 East Scenic Drive, Ste 2,  The Dalles, OR 97058. Join us for the 2nd Annual Wasco County Seed Exchange! Come by to pick up seeds for your 2019 garden, and bring any seeds you have saved from last year (don’t worry if you don’t have any – we have plenty!). 03/16/19 Plant and Seed Swap, 1pm-3pm at the Garden Home Community Library 7306 Southwest Oleson Road Portland, OR, 97223.  Get ready for gardening season by meeting fellow gardeners and get some plants and seeds for your garden. Please bring ready-to-grow plants. House and indoor plant starts are welcome too. Avoid wilted, newly dug, bare root, pest-ridden, and dormant bulbs. 03/24/19 Women’s Large Clothing Swap (approximately size 14-1X) Please bring clothes in good condition (no rips or stains) and accessories such as jewelry, shoes, hats, belts, purses. Please bring extra bags to help haul out the left overs. Every 4th Sunday in People’s Food Co-op community room. Address: 3029 SE 21st ave Portland Arrive a few minutes early to start swapping at 7 pm. Rules: Bring clean clothes in good condition, size 12 and up. (There is a small size swap on the 3rd Friday at the same location) Do not take anything until the swap coordinator says GO Be kind and courteous! Do not sell the things you get at the swap. Please bring extra bags Bring a mirror if you have one! Please also consider volunteering! I need help bagging up left overs at the end and carrying them to my car.
