Learn to use the sharing economy to save money while also strengthening our community. You will walk away with concrete steps you can take right here in PDX to use the sharing economy to cut thousands of dollars from your living expenses.

Speakers:

Neal Gorenflo* — co-founder of the sharing movement nonprofit Shareable.net, will share lessons of his year-long life experiment and blog series, “The Year of Living Shareably”, where he tried 30 sharing ideas, made new friends, saved $17,000, and influenced millions of people.

Mira Luna* — Mira Luna, Organizing Director of Shareable and founder of Bay Area Community Exchange, will speak on how sharing transformed her life from crisis to abundance and key sharing projects that can change your community and your life.

In addition, representatives from these local sharing organizations will speak:

  • Swap Positive (free clothing swap events)  featuring Amanda Mayther who hosts the Maternity and Baby clothes swap
  • Urban Farm Collective (grow your food with others)
