Swap Positive was interviewed by the Oregonian!

I had a wonderful visit Friday with JoLene Krawczak from the Oregonian, who is working on a story about Free Swaps. A delightful woman who understands the Free Frugal Fun that make up swaps, she also was amazed by how much all of you women do to make swaps possible for the community, and is grateful for your hearts and actions. She said she’ll be attending Amber’s Gresham family swap Saturday to see how a new swap works, and maybe SHE might want to become a swap hostess in the future:).

She was touched that Cindy Lou is willing to volunteer her time and help to get new swap hostesses started successfully. She was touched that Amber – a mom of 6 including a newborn – is willing to organize and help her community by creating and hosting the Gresham Family swap. She is touched that you women so freely give of your time, talents, and clean clothes and that all of this is FREE, and with a spirit of fun, and that all the remainders are given away to help others.

I just wanted to share a wonderful story about another kind woman doing positive things in our community – this time by giving our Free Swaps story additional wings to fly. JoLene said she hopes the article will be released on Friday January 13th. I’ll post a link on this blog when it comes out – wanted to give you a heads up:)

I am so blessed to be part of such a wonderful caring group of women. I look forward to seeing medium swappers Saturday January 14th! I’ve got plenty of remainder bags due to your generosity from the November clothing swap:)

Thanks again –
Barb Hughes
Founder and volunteer swap hostess of Swap Positive
