What to Bring:
Freshly washed, non-stained and tatter-free clothing in good repair and usable condition. There are no minimum requirements for how many items you have to bring or how many you can take BUT please be courteous and generous. Items that do not get swapped will be donated to low income and high needs families in our community.
In addition to clothing and toys you can also bring lightly used and clean accessories:
lightly used, clean socks, shoes, boots
hats, scarves, mittens
books, tapes, CD’s, videos, DVDs
How the swap works:
Clothes will be separated into size groups on tables and marked with signs. Separate your clothing by size in advance and arrive 15 minutes before your swap. Hang on to your items until you are asked by the swap director to add them to matching size piles (general categories for toys.) Step back from the swap area and wait around the perimeter of the room for the swap to begin – it’s important and fair to others that the swap starts at the same time for everyone and that there is no “pre-swapping” or guarding. When the swap director starts the swap look to find the items in the sizes and styles you need and put them in your bag. As you swap keep track of your newly acquired items and hang on to personal belongings that you brought with you. If you let them out of your sight, they may be swapped.
We hold no responsibility for lost, misplaced or stolen items.
